Plan

CHANGE: my partake in this project is to create a 3 logos and a banner.

Update: We have planned to meet up with other company on Monday 21st November and take pictures and videos with the help from one another, taking notes off the companies wishes that we can make come true such as if they wish to have a special poster for a theme only we can do so, we plan to ask them as much questions so we can fulfil the clients needs and we plan to take as much videography and photography so we can experiment around with them.

Audience research

I have researched that most companies need to display their banners that relate to their job. I have seen that some companies don't have a banner or a certain target audience which makes their company very unreachable when its not direct, others have logos that are not fitted in proportionally and some have "less is more" which draws the viewer to look at the balloons, from this you can see that their companies haven't grown.

On the other hand Badass Balloons Company are very straightforward and shows that their target audience is for young people and it looks very lively.

For Amafhh we will take into consideration that even though they do all types of events which include all target audiences. We will try to full-fill their needs and have an aim for them.

Analyse a similar product

This is the company logo and i have found similar products to analyse that i could incorporate into my banner

These logos are from etsy and this is the feel the company wants to have. Comparing both the company and the similar product it has its differences. One looking quite bland and another that is very welcoming. This is something i'd like to enhance on theres and take inspiration from these designs. My group and the client has agreed that i can create something similar to this.

The colour scheme in these are pink and I will incorporate Amafhh colour schemes  

The font they wish for it to remain the same but the main objective is to make it appealing to their target audience that they are a balloon company.

Pre-production 

I created all balloons in illustrator. Original design, Christmas and Easter

This is the inspiration I wanted to recreate which is all original.

Here I was experimenting with the mesh tool and seeing what points alter the angle to something appropriate. I decided that it was best to imagine what angle the light is coming from to achieve the best look.

Basic design black and gold, i used ellipse tool and anchor points to give the balloon shape, i arranged it like my inspiration i saw on etsy.

In this image i created the bottom of balloons using line tool I and figured that without it looks better and it gives a sleek look which is what the client wants.

Flower sketch to incorporate clients' originality

Here I image traced and this selected different parts of the flower which i have learned that it would be easier if it were one line. Once i image traced i removed the white background leaving the pencil outline, some parts of white i kept because it gave it definition in my final logo.

 

I followed the same steps to recreate these balloon themes for christmas and easter holidays

These are the inspirational colours I went for, and it contrasts with cream background 

This image was manipulated with a range of effects, I had trial and error trying to get the image with a good outline without loosing the image. the key was to take the picture in daylight

My teacher helped me by achieving photoshop mostly, using levels but getting rid of some dark areas on the background by painting with white, then I also used threshold.

The final logo I created was in canva, Although I used elements from canva I still incorporated my own original elements which was the balloon

created this in illustrator and incorporated all original elements.

I decided to make the background a gradient colour after experimenting with black.

How well did the learners communicate with you?

 

Bilal, Aamir, and Katlyn communicated with me throughout their production and included me in every discussion, and planned with me in advance what each of them was going to produce for my company.

 

 

How well did they complete tasks in a timely manner?

 

I thought the 3 of them were on top of their game and completed the assignment I gave them in a timely manner, what I appreciated most is that they always gave me professional courtesy by keeping me informed of any new developments.

 

Are you happy with the final product/service completed by the learners?

 

I am beyond pleased with the final designs and outcomes. When I was first asked if they could produce work for me I was very hesitant that they would be capable of completing what I  asked, however, I am glad I kept with my instincts. In the future, I'll definitely use some of the output that they produced without a doubt.

 

 

What is one area you felt they could have performed better in?

 

Frankly, I can't think of anything bad to say, though I'd want to see them in a more independent and self-reliant position. I did offer Bilal, Kathleen, and Aamir their service charge although they refused and replied, we only wanted the experience which was really surprising nonetheless.

Evaluation

We as a group communicated with our client very well. We understood how they wanted us to complete and do their work. They showed us previous work they had created for them and this helped me to be inspired and that's how I made my logos & banners.

I created 3 logos and a banner using photoshop and illustrator. There has been new skills i've learnt image tracing, using the mesh tool.

I believe that I completed my tasks to the best of my ability. I completed my task at my client's deadline. I used the skills I knew from my previous projects and used them in a sufficient manner.

 

Overall I created 4 products for the Amafhh company.
